BSF 89 Battalion Celebrates Raising Day in Tanghdar

Karnah: The 89 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated its Raising Day in Tanghdar with grandeur and enthusiasm. The event featured a variety of cultural programs, community interactions, and social activities, showcasing the vibrant spirit of unity and harmony between the force and the local community.

The day began with a ceremonial flag hoisting and a tribute to the sacrifices and achievements of the BSF personnel. This was followed by cultural performances where local artists showcased traditional Kashmiri music and dance, captivating the audience with their talent. Special performances by children added a cheerful touch to the celebrations.

The event also included sports activities, exhibitions, and an interactive session where BSF personnel engaged with local residents, discussing issues and fostering a sense of mutual trust and cooperation.

In his address, the Commandant of the 89 Battalion emphasized the role of the BSF in safeguarding the nation’s borders and strengthening the bond with the local population. He reiterated the force’s commitment to maintaining peace and fostering development in the region.

Residents of Tanghdar expressed their appreciation for the BSF’s efforts to organize such events, which not only highlight the region’s rich cultural heritage but also strengthen the relationship between the security forces and the community.

The Raising Day celebrations concluded with a display of fireworks and a heartfelt vote of thanks from the BSF, leaving attendees with a sense of pride and unity.
