SRINAGAR: As the part of its proactive measures to address challenges from snowfall, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) conducted an extensive snow clearance mock drill today. The exercise aimed to evaluate the city’s preparedness for heavy snowfall and ensure seamless functioning of essential services during the upcoming winter season.

The drill simulated real-life snow clearance operations at key locations across Srinagar, with the deployment of teams besides snowplows, loaders, and salt spreaders. The exercise tested the efficiency of machinery, coordination among departments, and response to potential obstacles such as roadblocks and vehicle disruptions.
