Kupwara: Indian Army (41 RR) in its continuous endeavour to uplift and empower girl child, organised Inter School girls Kho-Kho tournament at Galzoo Stadium, Kupwara .
The tournament was conducted on a knock out basis from 11-13 Sep, 2024. A total of Eight Teams have participated in the tournament. The Finals of Inter School Girls Kho-Kho Tournament, Kupwara was held between Govt Middle School and Sadiq Memorial School, Kupwara on 13 November 2024 at Galzoo Stadium . The final was a nail biting match which was won by Govt Middle School, Kupwara with a score difference of 20-14.
The event was attended by civil as well as military dignitaries. All the participating schools have joined to witness the finals.
All the teams participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Girl students were greatly supported and motivated both by the school and Indian Army throughout the tournament resulting in active participation by the schools. All the participating teams were awarded and the top three teams were awarded with medals and coveted trophies.
Overall, the event was a great success where in the girl students have displayed ‘Never Give Up’ attitude during the competition. The event will go a long way in empowering and upliftment of women in Kupwara.
