Special Bus service commences from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal Dargah via Brien Ishber Nishat

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 11: In a bid to improve public transport connectivity in J&K and acting promptly on the announcement made by the Minister for Transport Satish Sharma, the JKRTC commenced bus service from Lal Chowk to Hazratbal Dargah via Brien Ishber Nishat Foreshore Road and vice-versa.

This emphasised the government’s commitment to improve public transport for all, especially those in rural and remote areas.

Appreciating the swift action by the department, the Transport Minister Satish Sharma said, “this step is important toward our goal of ensuring reliable and accessible public transport for all residents, including those in the city’s rural and remote areas”.

The Minister emphasized that the Omar Abdullah led government is committed to improve transportation in J&K, especially in the far flung and border areas with the aim to enhance mass mobility, providing increased safety and sustainability, along with greater access and convenience for commuters.
