In addition to the trekking expedition, YSS organized a preparatory District Level Youth Festival at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Baramulla. This festival, designed to provide a platform for young talents to showcase their skills, includes both boys and girls. The selection trials for the girls’ events were held and were attended by DYSSO Baramulla and the Principal of GHSS Baramulla. The festival aims to foster a spirit of healthy competition and self-expression, promoting cultural and artistic growth among students.

Simultaneously, the Department of Youth Services and Sports is conducting an Orientation and Refresher Course for Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers and groundsmen at Showkat Ali Stadium, Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla. The training program entered it’s fourth day on Monday. It is designed to enhance the skills of educators and groundskeepers in managing sports activities, sportsmanship, and physical education methodologies. This course aims to empower educators with up-to-date knowledge and techniques, ensuring a stronger foundation for youth sports and physical fitness in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, DYSSO Baramulla said that the trekking expedition, youth festival, and ongoing training programs exemplify the Department’s serious approach towards fostering an environment where youth can excel in sports, academics, and leadership skills. These initiatives are fundamental to building a robust community of young achievers who will lead with resilience and integrity.”
