During search, 140 bottles of Codeine Phosphate concealed in a box, cash amounting to ₹38,530 (believed to be proceeds of narcotics), 01 drone and 03 mobile phones have been recovered from their possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 136/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Safakadal and investigation has been initiated.

During the preliminary investigation, it has been learnt that these drug peddlers were using drones to monitor the movement of consumers (buyers), ensuring that buyers are not accompanied by Police, and also to track the movement of Police within their area of operation to avoid potential traps by the Police.

Srinagar Police is committed to ensuring a drug-free and safe environment for all citizens.
