KATHUA, OCTOBER 11: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr Rakesh Minhas today reviewed the progress of the development departments under District Capex Budget 2024-25 here at Conference Hall of the DC office complex.

The DC took a detailed review of each sector one by one and received feedback regarding the present status of developmental as well as non construction works.

While taking department wise review, the DC directed the concerned executing agencies to prioritise the completion of pending projects of the district within stipulated timelines.

Taking review of the new works taken up under this year district Capex, the DC stressed upon the concerned officers to ensure early completion of tendering and allotment of works as the restriction of MCC is now lifted.

The DC further enjoined upon all the concerned officers and executing agencies to furnish reports regarding progress achieved on regular basis for monitoring and follow up.

Terming the role of all the departments more important, the DC said that all development projects taken up under CAPEX need concerted efforts from the concerned departments and special attention to pay at ground level by way of timely completion of target works.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Office, Chief Education Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineers, CEO Kathua, EOs of MC Kathua, Lakhanpur and Nagri and other concerned officers of the district.
