Official sources reported that the grenades were found during a routine search operation aimed at ensuring the safety of local residents. Upon discovery, the army assessed the grenades and deemed them unsafe for handling. Acting swiftly, the troops destroyed the explosives on-site to eliminate any risk to the community.

The operation was executed with precision and care, ensuring that there were no casualties or injuries among military personnel or civilians. Local authorities have commended the army’s proactive measures in addressing security concerns in the area, which has been historically sensitive due to its proximity to conflict zones.

Residents of Jhullas Behra expressed relief at the army’s timely intervention, as such recoveries play a crucial role in maintaining peace and security in the region. The presence of unexploded ordnance poses a significant threat to civilian safety, and the swift action taken by the army underscores their commitment to safeguarding local populations.

This incident is part of a broader pattern of heightened vigilance by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in areas known for militant activity. The army continues to conduct regular operations aimed at neutralizing threats and ensuring stability in the region.

As tensions persist in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir, operations like these are vital for maintaining public safety and reinforcing trust between the military and local communities. The Indian Army remains dedicated to its mission of protecting citizens and securing peace in this strategically important region.
