Srinagar, Sep 14 : Intensifying the searches, security forces have now pressed sniffer dogs into action after killing three terrorists in the Chak Tappar area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to ensure that no terrorist is concealed in the area.

An official said that terrorists, who had taken shelter in a school building, were neutralized in a joint operation carried out by the Indian Army’s 29 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, and Jammu and Kashmir Police, which started late last night following intelligence inputs.

“While the operation successfully neutralized the terrorists, the search is on to ensure that the area is totally secure,” the official added.

The security forces are using sniffer dogs and other equipment for the combing of the area so that no leftover threat remains. The operation was done very precisely to avoid any collateral damage.— (KB)
