Baramulla, Sept 3 (JKNS): Minister Javid Ahmad Dar laid the foundation stones for several major development projects worth ₹29.29 crore in the Rafiabad-Zaingair Constituency of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, giving a major boost to development in the sectors of Roads, Health and Education.
A major highlight of the visit was the launch of the 8.2-kilometre Yamberzalwari–Harwan Road project, being constructed under PMGSY, at a cost of ₹18 crore. The road has been a long-pending demand of the local population for decades, and its construction has brought great hope and happiness among the residents of the area.
The other projects inaugurated and launched include the development of a Children’s Park at Nowpora (Tujar Sharief), construction of a Mini Super Bazar at Bomai Zangeer, construction of Biology, Chemistry, Computer and Physics Laboratories at Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai, construction of an ACR at Boys Higher Secondary School Bomai, and construction of a Health Sub-Centre at Goripora/Darpora.
During the visit, the local populace warmly welcomed Minister Javid Ahmad Dar and accompanying officials at various locations and expressed gratitude for taking up the long-pending developmental demands of the constituency.
The Minister was accompanied by ADC Sopore Dr. S. A. Raina, Executive Engineer PMGSY Baramulla Er. Shahzad Ahmad Salaria, Executive Engineer R&B Division Sopore Er. Javid Ahmad Fakhtoo, CMO Baramulla Raina Sahib,Range officer Kandi Range Altaf Ahmad, besides,Revnue, RDD,Phe,Pdd,Police Officers, AEE’s, JEE’s, Agriculture Officers, Horticulture Officers and other officials from different departments.
The projects are expected to significantly improve road connectivity, healthcare facilities, educational infrastructure and other public amenities, marking an important step towards the overall development of the Rafiabad-Zaingair Constituency. (JKNS)
