SRINAGAR: A delegation of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir, led by its Chairman A P Vikey Shaw, today met Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, at the Civil Secretariat here.

The delegation discussed issues and proposals for development of Agriculture, Horticulture and allied sectors in Jammu & Kashmir.

Also present were Co-Chairman, Javaid Anim, EC Members of PHDCCI Bilal Kawoosa, Fayaz Ahamd and Nasir Rather.

The delegations extended gratitude to the Minister for his unwavering support towards the department of agricultural, horticulture and allied sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.

The PHDCCI members submitted a memorandum outlining several demands and issues. These included establishment of a cold storage facility at Lassipora, conduct of an agricultural, horticulture and allied sectors exhibition in Kashmir and strict enforcement of regulations to prevent unauthorized imports and safeguard the horticultural industry.

The Minister listened to the delegation’s concerns and assured them that their issues and concerns will be considered for redress.
