Ganderbal, July 8 (JKNS): A 69-year-old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim from Bengaluru, Karnataka, died on Tuesday after falling unconscious near the Baltal base camp in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

An official told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as R S Manjunath, son of Late R Shivaiah, a resident of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

He suddenly lost consciousness near the vehicle parking area and was immediately shifted to the Base Hospital Baltal for medical attention. Doctors at the facility, however, declared him brought dead, official said.
