Speaking to the media, Shah said, “The Amarnath Yatra is not only a sacred pilgrimage but also a symbol of Jammu and Kashmir’s cultural and spiritual harmony. I wholeheartedly welcome the devotees and thank the UT and district administration for their meticulous planning and execution of yatra-related preparations.”

He also acknowledged the role of security forces, health services, and civil departments working round-the-clock to facilitate the pilgrims’ journey. Shah urged locals to continue extending support and cooperation, reflecting the valley’s age-old tradition of communal unity and brotherhood.

The annual pilgrimage, which sees lakhs of devotees undertaking the journey to the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine, is a significant event in the region, both spiritually and economically. Ganderbal, being a crucial part of the route, plays a key role in hosting and assisting pilgrims.
