Ramban: To promote physical and mental well-being through Yoga, the District Administration Ramban Thursday organized a Mass Yoga Session at the breathtakingly beautiful Sanasar meadow.
The event was held as a prelude to the International Yoga Day 2025 and served to emphasize the importance of incorporating Yoga into daily life.
The session, conducted at the panoramic location to promote the tourist destination Sanasar—known for its serene surroundings and pristine environment—witnessed enthusiastic participation from Deputy CommissionerMohammad Alyas Khan; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Varunjeet Singh Charak; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shokat Hayat Mattoo; and other senior officers of the district administration. The department of AYUSH, Youth Services and Sports, Information, Health, Education and other departments coordinated the event.
The initiative aimed at disseminating the message of “Yoga for Wellness”, encouraging citizens to adopt a healthier lifestyle rooted in traditional practices. By choosing the scenic high-altitude meadow of Sanasar, the district administration not only highlighted the district’s natural heritage but also created an atmosphere of positivity and spiritual upliftment for the participants.
Speaking to media persons, the ADC emphasized the holistic benefits of Yoga, stating that it’s routine practice not only improves physical health but also contributes to mental clarity and emotional stability. He called upon the people of Ramban to make Yoga a daily routine and actively participate in the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga on June 21, which will be observed at District, Sub-Divisional and Tehsil headquarters across the district.
The event concluded with a collective resolve by all participants to spread awareness about the importance of Yoga among their peers, families, and communities, in line with the broader national movement initiated by the Prime Minister of India to take Yoga to every household.
