Anantnag, June 19 (JKNS): Anantnag Police on Thursday apprehended a suspected Over Ground Worker (OGW) with the help of a newly installed Facial Recognition System at Langanbal checkpoint.
A senior police officer told news agency JKNS that, “The system flagged the individual as a suspect, following which alert personnel on ground detained him immediately.”
“The person is currently in custody and is being questioned,” the officer said, adding that further investigation is underway to ascertain the full extent of the individual’s activities and affiliations. (JKNS)
