Leh, June 18 (JKNS): The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has issued transfer and posting orders for two IAS officers, appointing Rakesh Kumar as Deputy Commissioner Kargil and Romil Singh Donk as Deputy Commissioner Leh.

According to the Government Order a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, “Sh. Rakesh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:2021) awaiting orders of adjustment is hereby transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kargil vice Sh. Shirkant Balasaheb Suse, IAS (AGMUT:2016) who stands relieved of his duties from UT of Ladakh and is directed to report to the O/o Chief Secretary, UT of Jammu & Kashmir, for further posting. Sh. Rakesh Kumar, IAS has joined the Administration of UT of Ladakh on 10.06.2025 (AN).”

The order further reads: “Sh. Romil Singh Donk, IAS (AGMUT:2021), Sub Divisional Magistrate, Zanskar, is hereby transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Leh vice Sh. Santosh G. Sukhadeve, IAS (AGMUT:2017) who stands relieved of his duties from UT of Ladakh and is directed to report to the O/o Chief Secretary, Govt. of Goa, for further posting.”

Both relieved officers Shirkant Balasaheb Suse and Santosh G. Sukhadeve have been asked to report to their respective Chief Secretaries in Jammu & Kashmir and Goa. The outgoing officers have also been instructed to brief their successors adequately before being relieved. (JKNS)
