Sopore, June 18 (JKNS): The Tehsil Social Welfare Office Sopore has announced an assessment camp for Divyangjans (Persons with Disabilities – PwDs) and senior citizens under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) schemes of the Government of India.
According to the official notice issued by the Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Sopore a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, the Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), will conduct the camp on June 24, 2025, at Dak Banglow Sopore.
The purpose of the camp is to assess and identify the aids and appliances required by eligible beneficiaries for free distribution under the said schemes.
The following documents must be submitted by Divyangjans (PwDs) for assessment, UDID card or Disability Certificate issued by CMO or Competent Medical Authority. Copy of AAY/PHH ration card or Income certificate (up to ₹2.70 lakh per annum). One passport-size photograph. Residential proof such as Ration Card, Voter ID, or Aadhar Card. For Senior Citizens, the required documents include, Copy of Aadhar Card (with proof of age 60 years or above). Copy of AAY/PHH ration card or Income certificate (up to ₹1.80 lakh per annum). One passport-size photograph.
