Pulwama: To review and approve applications submitted under the Mission YUVA scheme by SBDU and assess the progress of applications being forwarded by BHDs, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom Tuesday chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under Mission YUVA at the Administrative Complex Pulwama.
During the meeting, a total of 11 cases, verified by SBDU, were placed before the committee for consideration, and were approved for financial assistance and handholding support under Mission YUVA by the DLIC. The committee conducted detailed scrutiny of each application based on eligibility, business viability and the socio-economic background of the applicants.
Addressing the meeting, DC emphasized the importance of promoting self-employment opportunities among local youth, especially those from under privileged and marginalized sections of society.
He directed all concerned departments to ensure timely disbursement of financial support, continuous monitoring and proper mentoring to ensure the long-term sustainability of the approved ventures. He further stressed the need for enhanced outreach and awareness activities to encourage broader participation under the scheme.

The meeting witnessed the participation of key officials including the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama (Nodal Officer Mission Yuva); Lead Bank Manager, Pulwama; General Manager, DIC, Pulwama; Assistant Director Employment, Pulwama; District Nodal Officer, JKEDI; District Development Manager, NABARD; DSWO Pulwama and other concerned officers.
