Ganderbal: Senior BJP leader and former District President of Ganderbal, Mohammad Amin Shah, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on completing 11 transformative years

in office, praising his vision, determination, and steadfast leadership that, according to Shah, has “reshaped the soul of New India.” Shah highlighted the remarkable strides made in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly under Modi’s leadership, citing a wave of developmental projects that have brought the region closer to the rest of the country—physically, economically, and emotionally. He lauded the government’s focus on infrastructure connectivity, which has long been a demand of the people of the region.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not just leading the nation—he is connecting hearts and lands. His vision has pierced through mountains to bring Kashmir into the fast lane of development,” said Shah.

He emphasized landmark infrastructure developments, including the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel (Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Tunnel) and Zojila Tunnel, which have improved all-weather connectivity. The Banihal-Qazigund Railway Tunnel, a crucial part of the upcoming

Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla railway line, bringing Kashmir into the national railway grid. World-class road networks, including the Srinagar Ring Road and four-laning of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Turning his focus to Ganderbal district, Shah noted that the Modi government sanctioned and completed the Ganderbal bridge, improving local connectivity and reducing travel times between remote villages and the town. Several rural electrification, water supply, and tourism-based development projects have also taken shape, boosting employment and local enterprise. Shah also spoke about the emerging narrative of peace and progress in the Union Territory.

“The narrative is shifting from conflict to connectivity, from isolation to integration,” he added, asserting that Jammu and Kashmir’s transformation under Modi’s leadership stands as a testament to inclusive governance. He concluded by expressing hope that the next phase of Modi’s leadership would continue to bring prosperity to every corner of Jammu and Kashmir. As Prime Minister Modi steps into his 12th year, leaders like Mohammad Amin Shah believe that the foundation for a ‘Naya Jammu and Kashmir’ has been laid—with tunnels through mountains and bridges across rivers, both literal and symbolic.—(JKNS)
