The notice states that the Student Disciplinary Committee of GMC Rajouri has been directed to conduct a detailed inquiry and submit its report along with recommendations within two days, it reads.

The action follows a letter dated June 9, 2025, by the Coordinator B.Sc Paramedical & Nursing, GMC Rajouri, addressed to the Principal, urging disciplinary action. The Coordinator reported that Ajmal Shafi had posted a picture of a cow on the eve of Eid in the official WhatsApp group of 3rd semester students, which was subsequently liked by the other two debarred students. The letter notes that the content was found objectionable, allegedly hurting religious sentiments and potentially disturbing communal harmony.

The matter was reportedly escalated by law enforcement agencies and the district administration, prompting the college authorities to take disciplinary action. The Coordinator further noted that Ajmal Shafi and Umar Farooq have zero attendance, while Abid Ahmed has only 16% attendance this academic year, also highlighting their poor academic record. (JKNS)
