Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of tehsil and block Akhnoor to assess the progress of the ongoing development works, with a special focus on Jal Jeevan Mission projects.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected the Water Supply Scheme Bada Talab and the Water Supply Scheme Karangi Rajput Mohalla.
He also inspected the Swachh Bharat Mission-Plastic Waste Management Plant at Panchayat Sungal C and several ongoing works being executed by the Rural Development Department.
Additionally, he inspected a shopping complex constructed by the Akhnoor Municipality. The visit included detailed discussions with concerned officers to address bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of all projects.
The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with local residents and attentively listened to their concerns and grievances. He underscored the importance of maintaining transparency in developmental works and adhering to stipulated timelines.
The DC was accompanied by Sub Divisional Magistrate Mukhter Ahmad; Chief Planning Officer Uttam Singh; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Shehzada Nur-ul-Ain; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti (Akhnoor) Rocky Mahajan; Executive Officer MC Akhnoor Tahir Hafiz; Block Development Officer Akhnoor Sushil Singh and other officers.
