Compensation approved for 5 road accident victims

UDHAMPUR: The District Administration Udhampur approved compensation for road accident victims under the Road Accident Victims Fund.

Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai chaired a meeting of the designated District Level Committee, to review the cases and after thorough scrutiny approved 5 cases, providing necessary relief to the affected families.

The meeting was attended by IAS probationer Seerat Baji, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anil Manhas and Assistant Regional Transport Officer Romesh Kumar Smotra.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned authorities to ensure the timely disbursement of compensation to the affected families. She further emphasized the need to maintain strict surveillance to enhance passenger safety and adherence to transport regulations.
