DC Kulgam reviews implementation of self-employment schemes

DC Kulgam chairs DLC meeting of HADP, approves 825 cases

KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today conducted a comprehensive review of the progress made in implementation of self-employment generation schemes in the district.

During the meeting, DC took stock of the existing employment schemes being implemented by different departments in the district including DIC,  Employment, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Handloom & Handicrafts Deptt, KVIB, Fisheries, WDC and other concerned departments.

DC enjoined upon the officers to cover all the unemployed youth identified in the baseline survey of Mission Yuva so that they can earn their  sustained livelihood.

Earlier, Assistant Director Employment gave a detailed Power Point presentation regarding the different employment generation schemes including PMEGP, PMFME, HADP,IDDS, Mission Youth etc.

DC also directed the officers to have one to one contact with all potential entrepreneurs identified under Mission Yuva in the district so that employment opportunities can be leveraged.

The meeting was attended by G M DIC, LDM, CAO, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, District Officer KVIB, AD Handicraft/ Handloom, District LDM  and District Manager WDC.
