Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has seized four vehicles in Kulgam and arrested four persons for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party headed by SHO Police Station Kulgam seized four vehicles (1 Tipper, 1 Dumper, and 2 Tractors) and arrested four drivers for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
Stating that cases under FIR Nos. 52 & 53/2025 under relevant sections of law were registered at Police Station Kulgam besides initiating further investigation Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood for the purposes of timely action against the culprits .
