Girls shine in Taekwondo, Volleyball & Kho-Kho competitions across B’la

Baramulla : In a spirited continuation of the inter-zonal district level Taekwondo championship hosted at Subhana Stadium, Sopore, Youth Services and Sports, Baramulla, on Friday successfully conducted the girls’ competitions across the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories.
A total of 30 enthusiastic girls showcased their martial arts prowess- 07 in the Under-14 category, 16 in Under-17, and 07 in Under-19. Their energy, discipline, and sportsmanship reflected the department’s vision to uplift and empower young female athletes across the district. The event comes a day after the successful culmination of the boys’ Taekwondo bouts, adding further vibrance to the ongoing district-level championship.
Meanwhile, in another corner of the district, zone Tangmarg witnessed a spectacular turnout at Govt. Degree College Tangmarg, where over 300 girls from various government and private schools participated in inter-school zonal level Kho-Kho and Volleyball competitions under the Under-14 and Under-17 categories. The fields were alive with vibrant sporting action as young athletes competed with exceptional zeal and coordination.
The sports fervour is set to continue as inter-zonal district level Wushu competitions are scheduled to commence tomorrow at the same venue in Sopore, promising yet another day of thrilling action and athletic brilliance.
