Poonch: As the educational institutions in the district reopened after several days of closure due to cross border shelling, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal visited various schools on Thursday to assess the situation and ensure that academic activities are resumed smoothly.
During the visit to Government Boys Higher Secondary School here, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with students and staff, reviewed school facilities, and checked the attendance of students and staff availability. He also visited the ICT lab and multiple classrooms, engaging directly with students to understand their experiences and boost their morale.
The DC appreciated Ahsan Ul Haq, a student of Class 10, for his remarkable achievement of winning a bronze medal in the 68th National School Games in the discipline of Boxing. He congratulated the student for bringing pride to the school and the district, and encouraged others to excel in both academics and co-curricular activities.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining a supportive learning environment. He also assured that the district administration remains committed to addressing the needs of schools and ensuring students have access to quality education.
The visit reflects the district administration’s continued support for education and its commitment to ensuring a safe, encouraging, and positive learning environment for all students.
