JCB Operator Dies in Tragic Landslide Incident in Budgam

Budgam, May 19 (JKNS): In a tragic incident, a JCB operator lost his life after a landslide struck while he was working in the Jawalapora Wudder area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on late Sunday night.

An official told news agency JKNS that a JCB machine owned by Riyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Jawalapora, was working at the site when it got buried under a sudden landslide.

The operator, identified as Tasir Ahmad Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, and a resident of Dulipora Waterhail, died on the spot as the heavy clay engulfed the machine, he said.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further details are being ascertained. (JKNS)
