CRPF’s 179 BN Holds Twin Medical Camps in Sopore’s Upper Zaingair, Distributes Free Medicines

Locals Laud Initiative for Reaching Out to Remote Areas with Vital Healthcare

Sopore: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 179 Battalion on Friday conducted two major medical camps in the upper belt of Zaingair, North Kashmir’s Sopore, bringing critical healthcare services to underserved residents.

In an initiative led by Battalion Commandant of 179 CRPF BN, the camps were held at Rampora and Rajpora areas, offering free medical consultations and distributing essential medicines to locals. The drive was aimed at addressing the pressing healthcare needs in these remote villages.

Lumberdars and other prominent locals expressed deep gratitude, stating, “These camps are of vital importance as we live in far-flung areas. Our elders, women, and children used to suffer due to lack of facilities. Today we are very much glad and highly thankful to the CRPF.”

Medical professionals from the CRPF, including Dr Pravin Ranjan (CMO), Dr Javid Ahmad, and Dr Sahrish Syed, were part of the effort. 2IC Navain Kumar, AC BH P Sharma, and other CRPF officers were also present.

The camps were praised for their positive impact and community outreach. Locals described the effort as a beacon of hope and appealed for more such initiatives. The 179 BN reaffirmed its commitment to both security and community welfare. (JKNS)
