Srinagar: Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), J&K, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, on Tuesday convened a review meeting of Jal Shakti (PHE) Divisions of J&K through virtual mode.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Kashmir, Superintending Engineers of respective circles in J&K, Executive Engineers of all civil and Mechanical divisions and the officers in Mission Directorate.
The MD enquired about the status of Water Supply Schemes in the areas affected by recent situation. He was informed that as per the field reports the water supply schemes in whole J&K are functioning normally.
The MD also took a division wise review of scheme completion under JJM. He directed the recently posted Superintending Engineers to assess the ground situation and review the progress on works fortnightly so that the timelines set for scheme completion are adhered to in letter and spirit.
The MD also discussed Har Ghar Jal certification of reported villages in the last year besides water quality monitoring and surveillance being undertaken by the water testing laboratories in the J&K.
