Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Tuesday flagged off a batch of 31 Hajj pilgrims including 10 Women and 21 Men here from the Islamia Faridia Educational & Research Institute Kishtwar for their onward journey to holy pilgrimage.
While interacting with the pilgrims, the DC congratulated them on getting the opportunity to perform the holy Hajj. He wished them a safe and secure pilgrimage and urged them to pray for the peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and the well-being of its people.
The group of pilgrims, who departed on buses, will board an international flight to Jeddah from Srinagar International Airport tomorrow.
Earlier, the DC reviewed the arrangements made to ensure a safe and comfortable journey. He also inquired about the facilities being provided to the pilgri
Senior Superintendent of Police Naresh Singh; ACR Idrees Lone; EO Waqf Board Firdoos Bhawani; Imam Sahib Jamia Masjid, Hajj Incharge District Ayaz Ahmed; Principal of Islamia Faridia Educational & Research Institute Mehmoob Qazi, media personnel, and other concerned officials were present on the occasion to see off the Hajj pilgri
