Div Com, IGP Jammu Visit Nowshera To Review Facilities For Border Area Residents Shifted To Relief Camps

Rajouri: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and Inspector General of Police Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti, on Friday visited Nowshera to assess the arrangements made for the residents evacuated from areas near the Line of Control (LoC) due to cross-border shelling.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, and Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar were present during the visit.
The Divisional Commissioner visited relief camps where the evacuated families have been accommodated and inspected the facilities being provided to them, including shelter, food, medical care, and other essential services.
The officials at the evacuation centre briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the efforts and arrangements being made to mitigate the hardships faced by the affected population, while ensuring their safety.
The Divisional Commissioner was apprised about civic amenities and other logistics made available for the evacuated population.
While interacting with the affected people, the Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu listened to their concerns and assured all support and assistance from the Administration
The Divisional Commissioner directed the district administration to ensure timely assistance, adequate medical facilities, and other supplies to all the camps in the sub division.
The Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu directed the administration to evacuate people from all vulnerable areas to safer locations on priority and ensure round-the-clock security arrangements in the affected areas.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Pritam Lal Thapa and other district and sectoral officers were also present during the visit.
