BSF Sub Inspector Martyred in Cross-Border Firing by Pakistan in RS Pura Sector

Jammu: The Border Security Force personnel (BSF) lost his life in the line of duty during cross-border firing in the RS Pura area of Jammu district.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), BSF Jammu as per news agency JKNS wrote,
“We salute the supreme sacrifice made by BSF #Braveheart Sub Inspector Md Imteyaz in service of the nation on 10 May 2025 during cross border firing along the International Boundary in R S Pura area, District Jammu.”

The force said the officer was leading a BSF border outpost and showed exemplary courage by leading from the front. “While leading a BSF border out post, he gallantly led from the front,” the post added.

Director General of BSF and all ranks expressed their condolences to the bereaved family. “DG BSF and all ranks offer their deepest condolences to his family,” it said.

The wreath-laying ceremony with full honours will be held on Sunday at Frontier Headquarters Jammu, Paloura. “Wreath laying ceremony with full honours shall take place tomorrow at Frontier HQ Jammu, Paloura,” the post read. (JKNS)
