Baramulla: Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), in collaboration with State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) Grant Thornton Bharat LLP and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Baramulla, conducted the district-level RAMP awareness workshop at the DIC office in Baramulla.
The event was presided over by General Manager, DIC Baramulla, Nighat Alam and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), local artisans, aspiring entrepreneurs, and representatives of various industrial associations.
Officials from key implementing agencies including District Industries Centre (DIC), J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Department of Handicrafts and Handloom, Lead Bank, and other stakeholders were also present at the workshop.
JKTPO, the nodal agency for implementing RAMP in J&K, is driving these workshops under the overall supervision of the Department of Industries and Commerce, J&K, to ensure inclusive outreach and capacity-building of local MSEs and entrepreneurs across districts.
The objective of the workshop was to spread awareness about the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) program and its benefits, schemes, and initiatives aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. Participants were informed about support mechanisms under RAMP such as market linkages, digital financing, skilling, cluster development, and ease of doing business refor
During the workshop, the SPIU team delivered a detailed presentation on the RAMP program, outlining the implementation procedures for various interventions such as market access, skilling, credit facilitation, and cluster development.
The SPIU also addressed several queries raised by both the implementing agencies and participating MSMEs, ensuring greater clarity and alignment for effective execution of RAMP initiatives.
The workshop concluded with an interactive session where participants shared their queries and feedback, contributing to a better understanding of on-ground needs and challenges faced by local enterprises.
