Jammu: The University of Jammu witnessed a vibrant start to the students’ Inter-Departmental Tournament for the session 2025–26, which commenced today at Volleyball Court and Cricket Ground University of Jammu.
The tournament included competitions in Volleyball and Cricket organized for Men’s category. The tournament is being held under the aegis of the Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu, with the overall supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, and the active coordination of Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge PTI, Campus Sports Committee, University of Jammu.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba emphasized the pivotal role of sports and physical activities in promoting mental well-being, reducing stress, boosting productivity and fostering a vibrant and cohesive institutional atmosphere. He further remarked that such sporting initiatives are crucial for the holistic development of students and the academic community.
