Haj Flights from Srinagar Cancelled Till May 9 Due to Airport Closure: HCoI

Srinagar: The Haj Committee of India (HCoI) has issued an advisory stating that all Haj flights scheduled from the Srinagar Embarkation Point have been cancelled until May 9, 2025, due to the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport.

According to a circular issued by the HCoI a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, “In view of NOTAM A0976/25 concerning the temporary closure of Srinagar Airport, Haj flights from the Srinagar Embarkation Point have been cancelled until 9th May 2025. The situation is currently being reviewed, and alternate arrangements for the air travel of the concerned pilgrims are under active consideration in close coordination with various stakeholders.”

It further stated that the Haj Committee of India remains fully committed to ensuring the successful pilgrimage of all Haj pilgrims and advised pilgrims to stay in contact with the Jammu & Kashmir State Haj Committee for updates on revised travel schedules.

The J&K State Haj Committee has been requested to promptly disseminate this information among concerned pilgrims and keep them informed of any further developments, reads the circular. (JKNS)
