Sopore: The Rajiv Gandhi Literacy Mission (RGLM) celebrated a milestone, marking 25 years of its transformative journey in the Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The event was attended by thousands of alumni who shared their success stories, highlighting the mission’s impact on their lives and careers across various sectors.
With a special focus on skill development in a range of fields such as computer training, design, and Mehndi artistry, the RGLM has emerged as a beacon of hope for many, facilitating both self-employment and job opportunities in government and private sectors.
Numerous former students have achieved entrepreneurial success and are making significant contributions in diverse fields.
During the celebrations, students acknowledged the critical role played by the institution’s patron, Iqbal Ahmed, in shaping their futures. “The training programmes are meticulously designed according to modern syllabi and are accessible to the entire community,” said one student. “Our center is well-equipped with the latest technology and staffed with qualified professionals dedicated to our growth.”
The mission has also engaged in small and medium projects, enhancing its computer-based training programs to better equip new recruits with essential skills for the job market.
