Bandipora : District Administration Bandipora on Monday organised a District level awareness workshop under RAMP (Raising and Accelerating of MSME Performance) scheme at Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.
The district level awareness workshop for SIP implementation was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, and was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zaffar Husson Shawl; Chief Planning Officer, officials from District Industries Centre Bandipora, JK Trade Promotion Organization, Lead bank Bandipora, Handloom and Handicrafts departments and artisans.
During the event, DC highlighted the importance of such schemes and reiterated the government’s commitment to empower and support budding entrepreneurs through schemes like RAMP, which will create livelihood opportunities for our youth. This program is aimed at uplifting and guiding small unit holders and artisans in the district.
On the occasion, Qadri stressed that new industrial estates are being set up in Chewa, Nowgam and Ajas, which will provide spaces for budding entrepreneurs and skilled youth to set up their own units and businesses. He emphasized that success in such ventures requires dedication and strong willpower.
He praised the District Industries Centre (DIC) Bandipora for its continuous efforts to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship in the region.
The workshop also aimed to sensitize artisans, and aspiring entrepreneurs about the benefits and opportunities under the RAMP scheme and how they can take advantage of them.
