Kulgam: Railway authorities on Thursday temporarily suspended train services between Qazigund and Hiller in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after a truck accidentally veered onto the railway track.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the incident occurred at an unmanned location along the route, prompting immediate safety protocols to prevent any untoward incident.
“Movement of trains between Qazigund and Hiller was halted as a precautionary measure. Technical teams were rushed to the spot to assess and clear the track,” an official said.
There were no reports of injury or damage to railway property. Train service was restored after the track was declared safe for operations. (JKNS)
