Jammu : Police in Jammu on Monday said that they have intensified their action against illegal mining activities in the rural areas of the district.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office Jammu Police said that In-Charge Police Post Chowki Choura detained three vehicles — two trucks bearing registration numbers JK02CU-9105 and JK02CE-6235, and one dumper bearing registration number JK12C-0245 — all found transporting sand without possessing the mandatory Form A, Stating therein further that following the detention of these vehicles, the District Mining Officer was asked for necessary legal proceedings. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Jammu Police reaffirmed its commitment to protect public resources and continue its strict crackdown on illegal mining activities across the region.
