DDC Reasi discusses formulation of Capex budget 2025-26; Reviews status of ongoing works

Reasi: District Development Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the progress of District Capex Budget 2024-25 work and discuss the formulation of the District Capex Budget Action Plan for the financial year 2025-26.
A detailed discussion was held on department-wise budget proposals aimed at strengthening grassroots-level infrastructure and development.
Chief Planning Officer Narinder Gupta presented a comprehensive overview of the proposed Capex Budget through a detailed PowerPoint presentation, highlighting key projects and financial allocations.
Speaking at the meeting, DDC Nidhi Malik directed the line departments to accord top priority to the completion of ongoing works of the previous Capex Plan 2024-25, instructing that all such projects be completed within a week. She emphasized the importance of aligning the upcoming capex plan 2025-26 with actual developmental needs and instructed departments to submit detailed reports of the proposed works for verification. She directed concerned departments to ensure that all listed works are free of land disputes to avoid execution delays.
She instructed all Block Development Officers to consult public representatives of their respective blocks before finalizing the Capex Plan 2025-26. She also issued strict instructions to XENs of all executive agencies to take firm action against contractors who cause unnecessary delays in project completion.
ADDC Sukhdev Singh Samyal, ACD Pardeep Kumar, Chief Medical Officer, XEN PWD and Jal Shakti, Chief Education Officer, BDOs and all concerned officers were present.
