7 Motorised Tricycles provided to specially abled Persons at Reasi

Reasi : Department of Social Welfare Saturday distributed seven motorised tricycles among specially abled persons of the AAY/PHH category with a benchmark disability of 40% or more.
The beneficiaries hailed from different parts of the District. The distribution ceremony was held at the DC Office Complex in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik.
In the inaugural session, District Social Welfare Officer Sachin Sharma gave a detailed account of the motorised tricycle scheme for specially abled persons and stated that the Department is committed to providing maximum benefits to enhance the hassle-free mobility of specially abled persons.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the Social Welfare Department and said that this initiative will benefit the needy and deserving specially abled persons of the District Reasi. She added that it will help create an inclusive society where they have equal access, opportunities, and rights in all aspects of life. This initiative will help integrate specially abled persons into mainstream society by making them independent and empowered.
ADDC Reasi, Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ADC Reasi, Rakesh Kumar; Deputy DEO, Rakesh Kumar; ACR Reasi; and DIO were also present.
