DLSA Srinagar holds Lok Adalat; settles 04 cases, awards Rs.01 lakh as settlement amount

SRINAGAR: For amicable resolution of consumer cases, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, organized a Lok Adalat for Consumer cases at the District Court Complex, Mominabad, Srinagar.

The Lok Adalat was held under the guidance of Shazia Tabassum, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority and under the Supervision of Tasleem Arief, Chairman DLSA ( Principal District & Sessions Judge) Srinagar, and Sajad Ur Rehman, Sub-judge/ Secretary DLSA Srinagar.

A single bench was constituted for the Lok Adalat, which was presided over by Dr. Farah Deeba, (Officiating President District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Srinagar) and Shabnum Munshi (Member District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Srinagar

Overall 10 Consumer Cases were taken up for settlement out of which 04 cases were settled and Rs. 01lakh was awarded as settlement amount.
