J&K Legislative Assembly Session Summoned for April 28

Srinagar, Apr 25 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet in Jammu on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM, in the backdrop of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 civilian lives.

According to an official communication as per news agency JKNS, the session has been summoned the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet in Jammu on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM,

The LG exercised powers under Section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, to convene the session.

“I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir… do hereby summon the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet at Jammu on Monday, the 28th of April, 2025 at 10:30 A.M.,” reads the order.

The Assembly Secretariat, through Secretary Manoj Kumar, has urged all Hon’ble Members to attend the session in accordance with Rule 3 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.

This session is expected to witness discussions around the Pahalgam tragedy and the state’s response to security and public safety concerns. (JKNS)
