In a post on X, Omar Abdullah as per news agency JKNS wrote, “The J&K government is in touch with the governments of the states where these reports are originating from. I’m also in touch with my counterpart Chief Ministers in these states & have requested they take extra care.”

The statement came amid rising concerns after several Kashmiri students reportedly received threats or were attacked in different parts of the country in the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident.

The J&K CM assured that all possible steps are being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of Kashmiri students and residents outside the Union Territory. (JKNS)
