Budgam: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam Akshay Labroo on Wednesday inaugurated the public toilet complex at Old DC Office, and conducted the inspection of the completed repair and renovation works across the premises.
The upgradation project, carried out by the District Administration Budgam, has transformed the old office complex with the improvements including plastering and fresh painting of the entire building facade, complete overhaul of existing washrooms, including new tiling and installation of modern sanitary fittings, repainting of all doors and windows for uniformity and durability, concealment of electrical wiring in corridors, installation of a centrally placed public information notice board, replacement of worn out dustbins, construction of accessibility ramps and seating space for visiting public.
These upgraded facilities will greatly enhance comfort, accessibility, and service delivery for both staff and public visiting the DC office complex.
The Old DC Office Complex stands renewed and ready to meet the growing needs of the district’s administration and its citizens, DC said.
He added that the new public washroom adheres to high standards of privacy, cleanliness and universal access.
The upgradation of the DC office complex will provide improved services and facilities, benefiting both staff and the general public visiting the offices.
Besides, ADDC, Aashiq Hussain; ADC, ACR, CPO, engineers of the R&B Division Budgam and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
