Vivek Bali, who has been consistently advocating for the welfare of farmers and horticulturists in the region, has urged the government to immediately dispatch assessment teams to the affected areas and announce a comprehensive relief package.

“Our apple growers are the pride of South Kashmir’s economy. This hailstorm has not only destroyed their crops but also shattered the hopes of thousands of families who depend on horticulture for their livelihood,” Bali said. “The government must intervene without delay to assess the losses and compensate farmers adequately.”

He further appealed to the Horticulture Department and the local administration to remain proactive and extend every possible help, including technical and financial support, to the affected farmers. Bali assured the farming community that he will personally continue to raise their demands at every platform until appropriate action is taken.

“The people of South Kashmir should know that we stand with them in this hour of distress. I will leave no stone unturned to ensure their voices are heard and their losses are addressed,” Vivek Bali added.—(JKNS)
