Vehicle Used in Terrorist Activities attached Under UAPA in B’gam: Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has attached a vehicle belonging to a known militant associate under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967 here in Budgam.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the seized vehicle, an Innova bearing Registration No. JK01AT-7604, Engine No. EG4HJ17B4979, and Chassis No. MD626EG40J1H49448, was linked to a militant module and in possession of Mudasir Ahmad Rather, R/o Kantbagh Kralpora, Budgam and the seizure was executed under section 25 of UAP Act in FIR No. 151/2024, registered under the provisions of PS Chadoora.
Police in its statement further said that this action underscores the zero-tolerance policy of the J&K Police in countering militancy and dismantling its support structures. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police reaffirmed its commitment to eradicate militancy and urged people to cooperate with it in maintaining peace and security in the region.
