Jammu: Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Joginder Singh on Thursday inaugurated ‘Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System Lab cum Training Centre’ here at DPO Jammu.
Deputy SP Hqrs Jammu Farha Nishat, Senior Prosecuting Officer DPO Jammu Altaf Hussain, PA to SSP Jammu Inspector M K Chowdhary, and members of the Range Technical team, including ASI Dheeraj Kumar Magotra, Sgct Anil Raina, Sgct Vishal Bandral and District Rollout Manager IRAD Jammu Mohit Ahluwalia were present on the occasion.
The SSP stated that the Lab is uniquely equipped and fully furnished with the latest equipment to control the CCTNS Project in Jammu District, as well as to impart training on various CCTNS related software.
The SSP further stated that the newly established lab will greatly facilitate the smooth functioning of CCTNS Projects in Jammu District by enabling efficient tracking of case disposals and records from various police stations. Furthermore, it will contribute to the digitization of policing by incorporating modern technologies such as e-Sakshya, e-FIRs, e-Summons, and electronic record-keeping.
He said that the Lab was essential for the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System, which would provide training for IOs and CCTNS operators, and on the first day, 23 IOs and operators received training on various portals and digital services under the New Criminal Laws.
