Udhampur: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pawan Kumar Gupta on Wednesday inaugurated the blacktopping work on 1.75-kilometre Sundrani to Dhannu via Namble and Thowal Modha road. The upgrading of the road project is expected to provide a major boost to connectivity and ease of travel for the local residents.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Gupta emphasized that providing basic amenities such as roads, electricity, and water to every village remains his topmost priority. He added that this road will not only connect remote villages to major routes but will also contribute to the socio-economic uplift of the area.
A large number of villagers, local representatives and government officials were present on the occasion. The local residents expressed gratitude to the MLA for meeting their long-pending demand and appreciated his commitment to rural development.
Gupta directed the concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the work with strict adherence to quality standards.
