Poonch, April 15 (JKNS):- Search operation has been extended in Lasana area of Surankote in Poonch district after a brief exchange of fire with Terrorists.

An official told news agency JKNS that contact was established with terrorists during a joint operation with Jammu and Kashmir Police at Lasana in Surankote last night.

He said that additional troops have been inducted, and search operations are ongoing to prevent the terrorists from escaping.

Official sources said that one soldier was injured during the initial exchange of fire who has been hospitalized and his condition is said to be stable.—(JKNS)
